Dollhouse Miniature Late Elizabethan Drop Leaf Table - Walnut

This walnut finished wood miniature late Elizabethan reproduction kitchen table with storage is a 1:12 scale dollhouse furniture accessory. During the 1850s English furniture, in the domestic setting, was a symbol of status and wealth it was the decoration of the furniture that made furniture valuable. This miniature drop leaf table has turned baluster legs and square spreader bars the only decoration on this simple table which has been built to be sturdy and functional, is a recessed carving on both ends and on the front. The front panel opens down to create an enclosed storage space under the table top in place of an under the table shelf. The sides of the table fold down so that the table can be stored in a small space. The dollhouse table measures 2.5" tall by 2.75" deep by 2.25" wide with table leaves up; 1.375" wide when table leaves are down.
